Remarks
Since 1998, Village has abated taxes annually for
Golf Course bonds. With few exceptions, Lakewood
is primarily a residential community with
significant reliance on property taxes. With
prudent fiscal management, however, the municipal
tax rate has decreased for past 6 years. Actively
 seeking diversification of tax base.
